The Scottish Fundraising Conference 2018 will take place on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd October 2018 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central

Interested in Speaking at the Scottish Fundraising Conference 2018?

After the busiest year ever at the Institute of Fundraising’s Scottish Fundraising Conference we’re delighted to confirm that the event will be taking place on 2nd & 3rd October 2018 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.

Masterclasses speakers: Are you a senior leader who can effectively share their learning and help others to examine a single issue or discipline in greater depth? We’d like your proposals. Masterclasses are delivered over two sessions allowing participants to discuss, listen and learn in more detail.
Plenary speakers: Can you hold a room, and speak with authority and insight? We would also like to hear from those with a sector wide overview who can inspire the conference to start well, tackle issues of the day or close with challenging thoughts for professional and organisational development for the coming year.

Session speakers: Can you deliver an hour long session with innovative strategy or insightful case study? The backbone of the conference, these hour long sessions take attendees through different areas of learning. Some might take a workshop format, others sharing case studies or learning from a specific area of practice. Sessions will be aimed at beginner, practitioner or manager levels.

The committee want to ensure that we are building a diverse and representative conference. We particularly welcome submissions from women in leadership, disabled people and members of the black and minority ethnic communities. If a disability or long term condition makes it difficult for you to complete the application form, please contact us to discuss alternative formats.

What we are looking for? The 2018 conference programme will offer a mix of one hour sessions, plenary speeches and two hour masterclasses in the following areas:
• Management, Strategy and Policy
• Community and Events
• Individual Giving
• Corporate and Trusts
• Marketing and Communications
• Digital Fundraising and Campaigns
• Personal Development
• Major Gifts
• Legacies

In response to the Institute of Fundraising Scotland’s new strategy and the Rogare Critical Fundraising Scotland Report, organisers are particularly interested in sessions on:
• Donor focused fundraising
• Beyond GDPR – Making the most of information and systems, acquisition and retention strategy
• Growth and development of community fundraising
• Leadership development
• Career planning and owning your professional development
• What does success look in digital?
